Biography

Senior banking professional, investor, entrepreneur, and agri-finance specialist.  Started his career with ABN AMRO Bank in the 1980s and worked for the bank in various executive banking roles throughout Asia Pacific, North and South America as well as Europe.  Joined Rabobank as CEO of Banco Terra in Mozambique, and later moved to Malawi to execute an IFC-sponsored SME Programme for First Merchant Bank, followed by a similar assignment for Bank of Africa in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Manager of the Finance4Agriculture (F4A) and Agri-financing (Uganda) programmes. Co-founder of FACTS Africa as an innovative and fast-growing finance company that provides short-term working capital to SMEs. Creator of the IGNITE MY SME initiative.  At present serving as team leader of KIEP 250+, Kenya’s largest private sector support programme for SMEs.
